Description
Anyone got any idea what this is please? It came from a packet of Annual seeds a couple of years ago, but seems to like where it fell.

What a lovely flower, Jenny. I would be very happy to own such a flower! Your shot is lovely. It has the leaf that does me think of a Begonia.

A delicate coloured salvia for sure. We usually see those bright red ones used in public park displays here don't we? The question about large weeping figs. The one in the picture edge had 4 ft cut off the top! Sawing through the 3 main trunks and the wounds left to finish bleeding there milk. Then cleaned up and sealed it grew back very well and quickly produced fresh leaves. I had after all cut 90% off when I pruned so severely. I hope this helps, all figs can handle cutting back hard. That is why they make large specimen Bonsai out of them in warmer countries.

Very good photo, professional. It's Salvia Sclarea, look here ; http://www.swiatkwiatow.pl/szalwia-muszkatolowa-salvia-sclarea-id275.html Have a good day.

Hi Jenny, it is usually called Clary Sage in Britain. for the English version go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvia_sclarea :-)

Great! My guesses were wrong. :)

I'd still say Begonia. If you look closely at Clary Sage, you'll see the flower stems are hairy and grooved; the flower spikes are more upright too... Salvias generally have square, tough to woody, stems. Begonias have round smooth stems; often, especially new growth, quite tender and easily bruised.
