Description

A combination of two images...was part of a slide show using a recitation of Coleridge's "Kubla Kahn" instead of music.

She does look as if she has taken the same drugs as Coleridge!

This looks like the detail of a digitally-tweaked painting...and I mean that in a good way; there's a wonderful "painted" vibe to this and the color wash reminds me of the zillions of "updated" paintings I saw on book and album covers in the early to mid 1990s, and interestingly enough, one such album cover was for the group "Dead Can Dance" and the image was by Hieronymus Bosch (In the Garden of Earthly Delights)...it was a bit tweaked, but best of all, the album itself featured a 14th century Saltarelo played on traditional instruments and called "rock and roll." This has a completely different vibe than the lurid fever dreams of Bosch, but it also has that "classical art" vibe that I like so much. This is a very intriguing piece of work...exceptionally beautiful. And now I'm gonna have to go and dig up some classic Dead Can Dance, or maybe even a bit of Loreena McKennitt, just to keep that vibe going. Great stuff here!
