Work in Progress,
Strugling with the light and surface.
With the low elevation, the rocks looks brown.
I wanted the shadows on the rock to disappear, and to lower the light on the rocks, but then the lightning is not that bright as I wanted it.
Has anyone a suggestion !!!

THe lighting is fantastic. Not sure how this might look but perhaps give it a try: dim the sunlight. create a light source around the midpoint of a lighting stroke (leave the "visible" setting unchecked, and perhaps give the light quality the same purple cast that's in the lighting stroke). I'm thinking that the lightplay on the rocks and terrain might be kind of interesting. As an alternative, create a reflective shader dor the landscape - that should enhance the reflective quality on the rocks)

ficious! great scene, i love thunder and lightning :) although i've had enough of it the past week, such awfull weather. love your render though!!
