Description

My house sits at the base of a forested hillside filled with manzanita & madrone trees (among others). The manzanitas get twisted into all kinds of unusual shapes & the smooth bark, beautiful in itself, becomes even more interesting when it partially peels away. I spotted this pattern on the bark of one of them while on a walk this morning.
