I am not a great artist or writer like most of the people here. So I choose to use to use the words others have spoken or written. Just like a great painting or work of art so are words to me. This is from the movie "Cash Back" a story of seeing beauty in a way most others do not. If you have not seen the movie go rent it. Like a great painting it is even better when you see it the second or third time.

Volcanoes are always so ominously interesting, more ominous when they're not dead but apparently inactive. Okay, dead ones are still ominous, but at least we know they won't burp and spew wholesale disaster everywhere. It's always those quiet, but live ones you have to watch out for, especially if they start to swell...thankfully this one isn't swelling yet, but Mount Saint Hellen's is doing something a bit...um...well...ominous! Anyway...this is a fantastic and serene shot. I love the crisp, sharp snow and the lively greenery. Marvelous! Hmm...I wonder why Geologists haven't figured out ways to "vent" these puppies; it's theoretically possible, you just have to know when and where to drill!

It's erupted approx 10 times during the last 3,400 years, and they say there is a 1 in 4 chance that it will blow in any given person's lifetime! They are pretty good odds............especially considering I live in Australia. ;) Nice shot.
