My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Lovely feathery trees...I can't remember the name...but beautiful nonetheless. Wonderful area - southern Arizona and you captured the feel of it.

I can't remember the name of the feathery trees either, but they really say "desert" to me...and the cactus is wonderful! Love the detail on the ridges. What a great view and shot!

The bit of red off to the right really frames this perfectly and adds a nice piece of warmth. The whole image is peaceful, serene, and absolutely grand in that way that only Nature can pull off...and what I'm really attracted to here is the unseen...in an environment like this, there have to be at least a few interesting little people with lots and lots of legs, and that is as much of a draw as what's presented. It's like reading a story in which the tale itself implies another, subtler, softer tale in a low, whisper-like register. I love it when images do that!
