Description

Hi there. As I told you 2 days in the past I was surprised by a slow rain as I visit the small pond in the woods and where a bit frustrated on my way home as I found a gift on a tree. This really big dragonfly was waiting for the end of the rain sitting in a tree and I tried to get a shot of her before she can fly away as they always do when I come closer to such a big one. This one was friendly and let me manage some shots. Then I become a bit more brave and try to get her on my hand...wait for the next shots to see if I was lucky or unlucky trying this. Have all a great weekend my friends and visitors. Maybe someone can help me to determine the species here. That will be a big help. Edit: Thank you so much, Andrea. It is a Golden-ringed Dragonfly (Cordulegaster boltonii). Maybe a female because of the size.
