Description

A goose came in for a crash landing in the background. I had my 17.5 - 45 mm lens on the camera so I thats how close I could get. Taken along the same road as the last shot forgot to say yes I know the horizon is not straight..but ...its how I was standing and the world is not flat, tree and rocks are in their right places.

A superb shot, Cheryl! You can see the splash quite well even if it's at a distance. Beautiful sunset, too! I coulda sworn the world was flat - I almost fell off the edge one time...

'The world is not flat'!!!!!!! I blame the Coriolis effect rather than the way you hold the camera! I'm just kidding. It's the trouble with sunsets over water...there isn't much else for the viewer to look at other than the level of the horizon! Do you know, I use a cheap little thing that is basically a little spirit level on the top of my camera. It only cost like $5 I think but really heaps me make sure I'm holding the camera straight. It clicks straight into the hot shoe. HERE
