Description

Ah yes, at last, she picks up her mouse and the Delphinium series continues - some six weeks later. I have been away for large amounts of time in May and June; but also I reached a point where I had to rethink my story line structure. Those of you who are also doing series will know that stories evolve as you work your way through them and sometimes you have to stop and think about the direction you are going. This I have done and so I begin again. On that note I would like to dedicate this restart piece to Adorety (Arthur) who is also involved in creating an epic tale. I do encourage you to visit his gallery, but be prepared to spend some time for Arthur writes like a demon; his illustrations will draw you in and his words will hold you through every last syllable. His latest addition is "Chance Meeting? Erath 2-24" --------- Onna had her prize! At last, she had her baby dragon in hand! Screech and scream as it might, the little beast was no match for Onna's determined grip. For Onna was not only physically strong, but her magic was brutally powerful. She spared no energy ensuring that she had her baby. Not now; not when she was this close to attaining her dream. So not only did she use a tractor spell but once she had him close in, she threw out a huge protection screen, sending out a envelope of energy that no one or no thing could penetrate. But this kind of shield, though very strong, did have a weakness. She couldn't both move and keep the shield at full strength at the same time. To levitate away she would have to drop the shield completely as it was not possible for a single witch to channel that much energy at once. Even if she ran, she would have to lower the shield's strength. So Onna decided to stay put for now and trust that her partner, Shaw, would quickly finish off the young Delphinium Knight. Onna was sure she herself could beat this neophyte in a fight but not while trying to control this baby dragon. Now was not the time to take unnecessary chances. Onna did not like having to put her faith in the hands of men, but Shaw had proven himself worthy of her trust. At the worst case Shaw would surely be able to wound the knight in a fight, making her that much easier to pick off herself if she had to. Yes, she had done her part, things were going as planned. Be patient and wait, that was the best thing to do. Previous Delphinium

Ohhhh.. how evil Onna looks here! You did a magnificent job with the poses and effects and the story is sooo engrossing! I know what you mean with the stories and how they change. I hope after the move to do a little more myself with the Assassin and the young king and finally finish the challenge you had (yes, I started one :) ) Great dedication to one of the best artists at Rendo!

And the story continues - with excellent writing, and the typically superb artwork from Roxy! And a great dedication to a superb artist as well! I know well what you're saying about doing a series - I'm in a continual re-think about the direction the TNA series is going. It does take a certain level of commitment, and far too often real life interferes.. Hope you are well, my friend!

Powerful force field but at the same time the glare obstruct all the nice details we have become used to in the series. Actually we have been spoiled! The pose is wunderbar, full of glee and triumph. No doubt who is the villain here! The silver on the garment, can we buy that at Hennes & Mauriztz? It was a long time to be away and we are glad to have you back.

Thanks so much Roxy. You've created a delicious, yet very evil character. The sense of power she emotes is excellent. Poor George. I doubt our hero is down for the count and I'm counting on her to save her dragon, Can't wait to see where the story goes next. I can definitely relate to changes and evolution in a storyline. That's part of the fun when it writes itself. Excellent posing and her expression is perfect. Arrogance and overconfidence. Great effects and lighting. Your renders are always tops. Don't stay away so long next time ;) AD

You captured the scene very well. George and Anna are still a force to be reconed with even though Onna has the upper hand right now. Excellent illustration.

Time has not diminished thy powers, mistress. This image is a worthy successor to it's predecessors. It bears all your hallmarks: superb posing, emotive expressions, crisp textures, brilliant lighting, and of course your astonishing post-work. Glad to have you back working on this series, Roxy. As a writer I can relate to your comments about stopping and re-thinking the plot development. Can't wait to see where this goes next!
