Description

Nothing special, just experimenting with some basic lighting and utilizing some objects created in Groboto and exported as a single object then imported into another program for texturing/rendering. Hope someone likes it. Thomas P.S. The object itself is the only thing created in Groboto. The backdrop, lights and such, were done in Vue. Groboto has so much more potential than I thought. I watched ONE SINGLE VIDEO and was immediately re-inspired with this program. It is like having a 3D version of a fractal program. All can be random, or symmetrical in nature. It's all a choice. However, it does have some new features. Check them out for sure. It is interesting software. And the creations can be exported as a mesh and worked with easily in Zbrush or Sculptris, or any other program you might have, with applications for Organic and Hard Surface modelling in mind.

Groboto, back when I bought Version 2 from www.contentparadise.com when it was on sale for $29.95, was awesome to begin with, and I played with it some, but wasn't too sure about the interface. When they posted that there was a version 3 out, I decided to go back to it to poke through, see what I could remember, and play around a bit. What I didn't notice for quite a few months, was that on the right hand side, when you chose a bot and placed it in the work window, was a slider that led to more options lower, which I never saw until I watched a tutorial video. Now I'm super jazzed about what I had, and decided to spend the extra money it took to buy the next version, which I might add since I already bought the previous one for so cheap, they gave me a cheaper upgrade price. So paying $40.00 for the new version, instead of $100.00, was also a super nice and inexpensive deal. Thanks, Braid Art Labs, for an awesome tool for the workflow!
