My real name is Markus. I live in Germany in a little town between Chemnitz an Plauen - i don't think somebody knows ;-).
Last year I buy me a Nikon D40 and now I be able to take much more pictures as before. The macros I shared are all freehand-shots.

Yep just like a Huntsman spider, a Dragonfly could easily take a chunk out of you if frightened enough. But like the spider, they are friendly by nature and would never go out of their way to bite. Great shot. It would also look good rotated 180 degrees, although I know you have obviously posted this accurately as you have taken it. Wonderful work and congrats on such a steady hand!
