My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Another case of you saw it and I didn't:) I am with jophoto...I'd like to run my hand down the trunk...looks so smooth. First rate composition...really reveals the characteristics of White Eucalyptus. Nicely done:*

Excellent photo as always Tara.Have a nice week!

What a gorgeous and ethereal shot! I love the intensity of the white, but it's soft, also, the splashes of green swooping down are really nice. Nature really has a way with things! I love the framing of this shot and the focus on the not-the-whole tree element of it. I'd love to smell that tree!

Lovely image Tara.

This takes me back. When I was a boy in Oxnard, California, I used to climb these. They were used as windbreaks for the lemon orchards there. This is probably the Eucalyptus leucoxylon and indeed has a very smooth bark. A beautiful image.

What a fascinating tree!

Nice shot I love the white trunk.

Beautiful trees, but they can be a menace. We had two of these removed from our back yard as they were in danger of falling onto the house (in Australia, Eucalyptus trees are known as widow-makers). Lovely shot!
