Description

The cliff of Uluwatu, the grey filter allows long time exposure while the day, this intensifies the colors and movement gets blurred (like here from the waves) I have hidden 2 Harduns (Laudakia stellio) in the photo (not very hidden ;-) but the forms allowed it Harduns look like this hardun.th.jpg

I spotted the one in the rock before I read your image. The other one was more well hidden. Very creative imagery and it has your trademark rich colors.

LOL! I saw the first one in the rock and it was going to be my comment until I read YOUR comment. Now I see the other in the cloud. Very clever Reinhard! I like the use of the neutral density filter to blur the water. Nicely done!

Very beautiful seascape!! As I live in a landlocked state the sea always fascinates me. I too see Your little creatures, very well done.

This is a fun photo...lots to see. Like to know a little more about the use of a grey filter. I remember the use of filters with film cameras. Is this a digital image with a grey filter? And how much time for this photo?

@bmac62 this is the strongest grey filter I have (B&W 58mm 110 ND3.0 1000x) Light reduction by 10 f-stops, The photo I took with the Fuji S6500fd f/7.1 ISO100 20sec, guess it was paired on this shot with a circular polarization filter (another 2 f-stops) On the Fuji I was able (at daylight) to focus throught the filter. The 40D does it too and per liveview possible to see what you take. however in the shade or at dusk/dawn it stays black, so you have to do manual focus and then add the filter.

Spectacular image. This is one reason I want to go back now that I have more experience, to take pictures with a better camera. Thank you for the technical information. Very useful.
