Description

We are off to the Hollow first thing in the morning. Wooo Hooooo!! We'll probably be home Friday night. You know what this means, don't you? I'll never catch up at all with anyone. I had hoped to at least stop by once at everyone's gallery .. and even that didn't happen. My apologies to you all .. and my thanks for all the support even though I've been so slow getting to your galleries. It looks like Murphy and the B-dog are already at the gates of the Hollow .. B-dog wonders why there are two signs, one in Human words, and one in Elvish words. Murphy tells him that no self respecting Elf or Fae would bother with the human words, and that any Human worth his or her salt would be sure to post a sign in Elvish too. We've heard that the Fae can be pretty tricky, so we try to do things in a manner that won't upset them. We don't want them to start playing tricks at our expense! If you want to know if you have Fae living in your house, or around your gardens, you must put out a bowl of fresh milk. If the Fae are around, they will drink of it, and it will turn sour. No one knows why this is, but it is true, and a sure sign that you have the wee folk living around you! Many thanks for the wonderful and much treasured comments on the previous post!

A wonderful image and when you go through these gates you must breathe an extra breath of relaxation to be at this marvellous place. No wonder the dogs love this place too, it looks to be so magical. An excellent manip and great signs. Of course I can read the bottom one easily LOL. Enjoy your time at this magical place.

More adventures at the Hollow, can't wait to hear about them and see some of the "Otherworldly" activities. Great image, Rita, and it seems the dogs are filled with anticipation as well. The info on the milk is something I had heard as well. There's a superb book by W.Y. Evans Wentz, entitled " Fairy Faith in Celtic Countries", it is a tome, but well worth the effort. You might find it helpful at the Hollow. Enjoy the adventure Rita and keep us posted!!!!!

That would be a lovely wall-hanger. Such a wonderful image of paradise...puppies, peaceful meadows and the rustling of leaves in a breeze. Hope it's been a great week away...funny, how you keep coming back to town just for cake and ice cream. Talk to you soon.
