Description

I can't explain what happened here. Playing around with FOVy and wanted to see what a negative number would do. Well the two images here have the same parameters with different views. The top has a -30 for the FOVy and the bottom has a 30 for the FOVy. I wasn't expecting the results I got. Didn't dare change the colors fearing that I would completly ruin it. Thanks for peeking and have a great day. So here is the parameter for the top one. Fantastic, both of them. The lower the number, the closer the image gets to you. It's another way of zooming. So the minus is the closest. Corrie

The lower the angle the narrower the view, crossing zero in the negative direction is like going crosseyed, negative FoVy throws a kink in the calculations. I've been amazed by some images I've seen using 0 or 1 as FoVy though, like a Macro of a small sliver of a scene. Super work and experiment Peace

Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how setting are effecting what happens in Mandelbulb. ;) Excellent results with this!

I love both of these. Will have to try some fov adjustments myself. Up to now its the one thing I dont adjust much if at all.

excellent presentation, i usually pick out a portion of an mb3d parameter and zoom in and then jus mess with the x,y, and z factors!great work on both designs!:)*5

Fascinating bit of erosion. Haven't ever touched the fov. Geez, if there was just more time!

Hmmm. Very interesting. Maybe there's more to fractals than just mathematics - maybe there's some magic, too! lol Wonderful images! TFS!
