I first saw your shot from to-day. This wet one is also very beautiful. We had this Gaillardia (the Blanket flowers)for over years, but they all are gone. I'm sad about that ;-) Once gain : a beautiful capture, Mickey!

This is such a beautiful capture! Here we call this flower "Indian Blanket." I have one in my collage of wildflowers from last year. Excellent detail! I love the raindrops and the way they pool at the base of the petals. I love the little drop on the purple pointed bit between the two bottom pairs of petals. Flowers are wonderful in all their stages. I love the one on the top right with its tiny white hairs and crossing points. You have captured its detail marvelously. I wish I could send you some of our sun. We are in a drought and I would stand in the rain and let it soak into me, if we would get some. I love both of your images of these flowers, but for me, right now, this is the one that makes me smile the biggest. Beautiful flowers in the soaking rain, and beautiful capture!
