Description

Vue8 Frontier/Photoshop A continuation of my exploration in Vue.This time I took a daytime sky(Glasgow)and turned the sun into a full moon and day to night.Playing around with the sky, decay, haze and ambiant settings I came up with this night scene. The glow and light intensity were reduced, and the clouds tweaked in the atmo editor. An infinite terrain was added for the landscape, left at default material settings since it would be in darkness anyway.Rendered in Final setting at 600 dpi(1200x768) it took an hour to render.Only postwork is signature and resizing. If anyone can tell me if there is a moon setting in Vue,I would be appreciative...I have searched both the manual and interface settings and can't seem to find it.Thanks for viewing this novice beginning, and for any comments you wish to leave!

Nice composition. So, how are you liking VUE? Can Bryce models be imported or only the standard .obj and the like?

moon settings...as far as brightness, softness and phase is upper right corner of application as the moon is selected....

You are doing and learning Vue well, this is certainly a replication of a night moon shining somewhere!

Very nice sky! Nice work, (And a reminder to me that I paid for Vue--I ought to learn to use it one day).

Excellent work, Neil. The sun is the only source of sky light, as far as I can make out. You can add "planets" to have moons in the daytime, but what you've done here is the way to go for moonlight.
