Description

The Red Moon is the lunar month after Easter, a period during clear nights, there are risks that are frozen brown young shoots of plants. Typically, the term does not the appearance of the Moon, which may include (and in any season) to a reddish color when it is low on horizon. In English, the full moon of April is also sometimes called pink Moon12 (Pink Moon). While according to popular tradition, the moon was the cause of the phenomenon, François Arago proposed in the nineteenth century the following theory: the clear sky at night often correspond to very cold night, and where Moon is particularly visible3. He added in his theory of a causal link between the atmosphere clear and a low temperature, the astronomer considering that heat escaping from Earth more easily space in the absence of clouds. In warmer climes, where the moon does the same appearance at the same time, there is no frost; before the days of May, jellies may well occur there in the atmospheric conditions identical, but the vegetation is not yet out, they do not produce devastating effects on seedlings and cuttings.
