Description

Where I live are many of these old bunkers, made in WWII to defend Finland from the russians. Then they were occupied by the russians as Finland had to surrender Hanko. In this bunker, which is about 15-20 meters above the water, was a 12 inch cannon which guarded the southernmost waters of Finland. I often walk around these places and I took this shot whith a beautiful sunset as background. Battles have been fought here and people have died here...

nice shot! many Finns gave their lives so others could have their freedom.... the Finns helped so many and should never be forgotten for the sacrifices they made.
