My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

The colors caught my eye also. Neat find.

Knowing what the background looked like where these pipes were standing...your crop and postwork really pulled these front and center. A fine job...who'd have thought stove piping could be so attractive! :)

It's amazing how we can find good images in the most unlikely places sometimes. Well seen Tara.

Well done - great composition.

A lovely capture with great colours.

Well spotted, and the colours are lovely, as well as the great repetitive shapes and the lighting!

There is art to found everywhere, even at a construction site. If the pipes really looked like this you might get away with leaving them exposed as a design element. Nice catch and great composition.

I've learned that in art, it's the simple things that make the biggest impact; one doesn't need to go looking for the exotic or anything like that as everyday things will take on elements of the exotic, the weird, the unexpected, and this is a perfect example. I suspect that chimney pipe shares a lot in common with onion skins: all you need is a little light, and a little color, and you've got something else all together...something surprising and even in some ways, unsettling. There's nothing unsettling in this shot; it's just gorgeous through-and-through, and it rewards multiple viewings, for sure. This is excellent. And it's funny how high-tech they look as well...these could be fittings at home the central drive core of some advanced starship. Can't you see it? They're waveguide manifolds?

Don't you just love it when there is even more than you saw in the first place! I particularly like the stripes in the left pot.

Chimney pipes, wave-guide manifolds... (I hope, for Trent's sake, that they're not the latter!) Gorgeous patterns and colours.

Tara, only you could take something like this and make art out of it!! I'm most impressed, my dear friend! This is delightful! You must have a blast in Lowe's or Home Depot! LOL!
