Description

I had my good friend PJ here last weekend to experience this amazing 2 day event. It seemsed we just walked and walked with no cares as we made our way to the first event which kicks off Pride Weekend. The Pink March, which is held the night before in the Castro. With over 400,000 participants it was a photographers dream. San Francisco Pride has been said to be "one of the last remaining pride events that can truly be called a rite of passage." 2011 marks the 41st anniversary of the San Francisco Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Pride Celebration and Parade. The SF Pride Celebration was held over the weekend of June 25 and 26, 2011 in downtown San Francisco in Civic Center at the foot of San Francisco's historic City Hall where Harvey Milk once stood and addressed Pride-goers more tha thirty years ago. With over a million people expected over the 2 day period. San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration and Parade is the largest LGBT gathering in the nation.

This is so spectacular. You get that close in shot and it lights up the frame. I haven't gotten to my "faces" yet. With 700 shots to go through, it might take me awhile. LOL And again, thank you for your hospitality during this outstanding adventure.
