Ouch! awesome job here. It's not a holiday but most will get off early here for 4th of July weekend though, oughta be a Drunk Sunday with the 4th on a Monday this year. Its Sunny with a cloudless baby blue sky and 90 at 11:00 am around 100-102 for the high here, should be the same all weekend.

This is very intriguing, Jim. You have done a beautiful job on the shadowing of the spikes. I find it intriguing because it bears a perfect resemblance to many species of carnivorous plants. Some of them are sufficiently large that they can trap small animals. I can assure you my friend, that is one way I would not like to go. Many of them are also eerily beautiful as is your rendering. Well done.
