Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

Crests and ensigns are so fascinating; they're also incredibly cryptic. Once, it seemed that everyone knew what they represented and one could virtually read an entire narrative by simply looking at buildings. Now, their meanings are lost, obscured, of hijacked by fashion designers who put them on clothing along with random words like: "Pink" and "Cool" and "Rock-n-Roll" and what-have-you. I much prefer the "old school" stuff to the modern, sartorial text-junk. And I have to say that you've nabbed a wonderful capture here. This is excellent!

wonderful!! I'm with weesel: England, Scotland, Castilla Y Leon, France. The union of the kingdom of Castilla Y Leon with Aragona through the marriage of Isabella I of Castile with Ferdinand II of Aragon formed "Spain". Castilla y Leon crest exibit the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece.
