My real name is Markus. I live in Germany in a little town between Chemnitz an Plauen - i don't think somebody knows ;-).
Last year I buy me a Nikon D40 and now I be able to take much more pictures as before. The macros I shared are all freehand-shots.

Never saw one quite this close up, I do remember trying to catch them as a child and trying to imagine them turning into frogs.

LOL same here, we were catching tadpoles when we were kids. We collected them inside a jar, my mom will put them on a bigger tank full of water and some weeds. When they start growing feet, she would release them back in the pond. Thanks for sharing the image. It brought back happy memories!
