We had joy we had fun we had seasons in the sun, but the stars we could reach were just starfish on the beach. I hope you all have a safe and fun 4th of July weekend.

Goodbye to you, my trusted friend. We've known each other since we're nine or ten. Together we climbed hills or trees. Learned of love and ABC's, skinned our hearts and skinned our knees. Goodbye my friend, it's hard to die, when all the birds are singing in the sky, Now that the spring is in the air. Pretty girls are everywhere. When you see them I'll be there.....and so on..... Terrific job done in this composition with the lovely lilies, vignetting and all, Lynell.

Excellent presentation of these lovely flowers. I remember the words and because I am developing OCD as I age I hade to look them up. Terry Jacks, a Canadian, recorded the song which became an American hit in 1974. The original song was written by Jaques Brel with English words by Rod McKuen. Some pedigree, eh?

I do remember this song also - but by the Beach Boys (with the lyrics by Rod McKuen & Jacques Brel), and it doesn't lose any of it's old charm - magical words here forever ... so sentimental! lovely flowers as well Lynell - perfect for your holiday weekend, enjoy ! BB
