Life goes on the world over, doesn't it? This is no different from my family, on the other side of the world from you. It's the next generation down that gives me the sense of continuity with my ancestors. The five-year-old great niece was an link I wasn't expecting ...

So nice to have the scale of the event so containable....

Fine photo...very attractive daughter. It is fun to zoom in and look at each face. Tara and I are debating...was this taken five years ago? Or are you thinking of Sonya as five years younger and wondering where the time went. Now you have me thinking of my two daughters...graduations were now a long time ago (22 and 19 years ago). But all is well in their worlds:)

Congratulations, twice! I love these sorts of shots; I love the little glimpses of human similarities; I was in similar shots in Prague (not for a graduation, just a birthday) and no matter where you go, you see the same stuff. It just goes to show, as you say, life goes on, and well...life is exactly the same everywhere. It goes on: babies are born, students graduate, girls worry about how their hair looks, guys wear dark shoes, bottles of wine (or champagne)are all in the same colors with the same foil around the cork. I like that! I like this shot, especially since I get to look at faces and wonder: "Who are these people? What are their names? What are their lives like? Have any of them seen the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica and if so, what do they think of it?" You know...human stuff. This is fantastic.
