Description

We came upon this very odd find this afternoon. This is an old Air Canada Viscount passenger plane. It is located in a very rural area. Unfortunatly it has been left unattended for several years, but for a long time it was somebody's home. There is not an airport within 100 miles of this plane so it had to be trucked in and rebuilt in place. The owners had fixed it up extremely nicely inside. It is very odd to see a plane like this in the middle of nowhere. Not only are there no runways nearby, the few roads there are nearby are all narrow gravel roads so it never landed there either. If it was not allowed to decay into such a poor state I think it would make a wonderful home.

what a cool shot. New Orleans use to have a restaurant with a dc10 on the roof and I think one could dine in the plane if they wanted

I want one!!! shame to have made the effort and gone to the trouble only to let it rot..Prefer this to a houseboat any day, though a B-17 with the turrets intact for unwanted visitors might be an idea....
