Hi there.
This for me unknown species sat near the large bee fly from the post some days before.

Edit: Thanks Andrea for the determination - I took some shots of their weird larvae last year in a very small pond in the garden of my parents in law. They look like real aliens.

Those wings look too small for the body! It makes me wonder how large a pair of wings I would need to fly, and where could I take flying lessons?
