I love the idea of a pet thistle. Have you named it? I forgot if you did or not. If I had a pet thistle, I'd probably name it "Raoul" or "Marshal" or maybe even, "Fiona." Well, it all depends on the personality of the thistle, I would imagine. Anyway, enough about pet names. This is a gorgeous shot. I love the color and the details. The blossoms are perfect; you caught them just as they started to open, so they're nice and big and still fresh. The thistle I photographed a little while ago has wilted flowers now and they're beginning to turn brown. I love this shot. It looks like summer!
