All of my uploaded titles are taken from a writer friend of mine, and Id like to thank Mara for letting me use her beautiful writing to compliment my work. I am very interested in the other artists on this page and I urge you to take a look at my favorite images and artists :-)

"Though I might travel afar, I will meet only what I carry with me, for every man is a mirror. We see only ourselves reflected in those around us. Their attitudes and actions are only a reflection of our own. The whole world and its condition has its counter parts within us all. Turn the gaze inward. Correct yourself and your world will change."

There are times in photography (and any medium of art, really) in which location is number 2 on the list, and I think this is one such occasion. What could have been a normal, competent, safe photograph has been transformed into something quite a lot more engaging. I'm sure anybody could have done a group photo, and even a group photo with train tracks, but the main point is (to my knowledge, at least) no one else did, and so, by virtue of that fact, this shot gains a massive load of points. To top it off, it's an excellent photograph in the sort of black and white that just crackles with life and emotion. I love shots like these for what they are as well as for what they show. It doesn't matter what the subject is; it's the eye of the photographer that counts and well, you've got an excellent eye, especially in terms of capturing nuances in largely static situation. Each of the young ladies in this shot has a distinct personality; they don't blur together, and the location doesn't overwhelm them. Okay, the location might overwhelm a pair of high heels or two, but that's about it. This is a great shot.
