Le Linton Its Beaux-Arts ornamentations are made of baked clay. The building is one of the few in the city that is clad in terracotta. The Linton Apartments remains one of the finest examples of the Beaux-Arts style in Montreal. Le Linton Cet édifice est de style architectural Beaux-Arts. Construit sur le terrain de Mr.Linton,ces appartements sont parmi les premiers construits dans le but de loger des familles avec de hauts revenus. Cet édifice est aussi un des premiers à atteindre la hauteur de 10 étages dans la ville de Montréal. La maison Linton a survécu à la construction car elle se trouvait en retrait par rapport a la rue Sherbrooke, contrairement à la plupart des autres résidances anciennes de ce secteur. Very lovely they used it a lot here on tiled floors and roofs etc etc I believe it's imported from spain to the US my son uses it in his pools and walk ways he loves the old buildings in montreal here some info: Terracotta tile floors often referred to as Saltillo tile, quarry tile, Spanish tile, or terra cotta Mexican tile Very lovely material: great post :
