Description

[This has been redone because a friend kindly pointed out that I made Morgaine too young in the 1st version.] *** Parting the Mists {The rowers pause, Vivianne summons power with a sweeping gesture, and the mists part. Morgaine sees for the first time the Holy Isle of Avalon.} Poser 4, Bryce 4, Photopaint 7 (Minor postwork - only a seam fix and signature, all else 100% Bryce.) My version of a scene from Mists of Avalon. After some months of trial & error, I finally achieved the mist effect I wanted by mapping the "teapot steam" material in Bryce Clouds & Vapors onto 8 huge spheres, with X:Y:Z proportions of about 10:5:2 - it's a surface material so the result is 16 curved "planes" of mist at varying distances between the boat and the far island. As always, my thanks to those who create the freestuff items I use, in particular this time Helmut Schaub - whose viking ship hull I used to create the Avalon barge.

Like the "living" expression and the two looking with different expressions in the same direction. Dunno how Bryce works, but maybe "particles" would be easier to form (but naturally they take a lot more render-time). Great view ! cheers, chr
