Description
The music was wonderful and the dancing devine.
He had taken her to a quiet ballroom for their engagement celebration.
Then a quarrel erupted, words were said, stinging, hurtful words.
Pain etched on her face, she turned and ran from him crying out, "Go, do not come near me again!"
He turned, slumped in misery, deep sorrow weighting his shoulders.
How could he have said such mean things to her, to hurt her so terribly.
He felt a deep sense of guilt and remorse as he walked slowly away.
