Thank you for all the comments on my poetry. This image I made for this poem & I hope you like it. This is a sad but sweet romantic poem. Thank you for viewing, for comments, ratings & faves. Love’s Memories She sits rocking by her window, While in her memories he stays. That handsome young man who Came calling in her younger days. Then she had been such a beauty, Many young men came to call. He was the one who won her heart And was the very best of them all. Their love was more than special, It was the center of her life. She still remembers that wondrous day, When she became his loving wife. He would come home every Friday, Presenting to her a large rose bouquet. Now every time she get sight of a rose, They are a reminder of those days. She now has a wrinkled brow, Her dark hair has turned to gray. The man she had loved so many years, Last year God had called away. He still visits nightly in her dreams, Telling her of his every lasting love. She knows he is waiting for her, To join with him in Heaven above. Her hand now drops to her side, As she hears the beautiful Angel’s song. On her face is a happy smile.
