Description

A little ways down this street is a little church, Santa Tereza de Jesus, and I assumed that was where everybody was going to. But instead there are a couple of bars/restaurants on the right side of the road. Everybody went there and bought a beer and they were all standing around, in front of the bar and on the other side of the street and socialized. It was all very peaceful and I couldn't tell whether the people were locals (meaning from Rio), Brazilians from other parts of the country, or foreigners. But they seem to understand each other, but the scene was perfect for thieves. On each tram, besides the driver and collector was also an armed policeman. I love all the architectural details! The way I take pictures, I'd need a bodyguard or something. It's hard to take pictures and remain alert to one's surroundings! I commend you for the shots you got.

The woman to the far right bending over is the attention grabber haha looks like she has a body guard? Great shot of this summer scene- thanks for sharing! :-)
