Thank you for looking! One of my favorite artists, for her dark and very intense gothic pictures, is Victoria Francés (http://www.victoriafrances.es/). The "Dark Rose" is my try to recreate the same mood and spirit and tribute my favourite female artist. After I had spend days of rendering different lightings and composing my up that time most complex postwork project I found that "that strange spot" on her right boot was a poke-through toe. I was so devastated that I did not touch the picture for years. It was waiting to get uploaded for about two years. I recently found again it while scanning through my (lots) of unfinished works and gave it a second try. I hope it was worth to wait all those years and that you like it. I am really looking forward to reading your opinions! Technical: Heavy postwork to get a painted-like look with The GIMP and rearrange lots of different lighting versions. Even more post work to hide a catastrophic poke through on one the boots that I did not recognize in hours and hours of rendering.
