"Though I might travel afar, I will meet only what I carry with me, for every man is a mirror. We see only ourselves reflected in those around us. Their attitudes and actions are only a reflection of our own. The whole world and its condition has its counter parts within us all. Turn the gaze inward. Correct yourself and your world will change."

Gastropods with racing stripes! It doesn't get any better than that: well, maybe it does...lots of gastropods with racing stripes would be nice. I have no idea what breed these are, but I like them a lot, especially their pebbly flesh. Funny how something that's mostly water looks so pebbly...and I love the somoothness of their shells and those cute little eyestalks. I happen to adore snails and think they're a lot cooler since I learned, recently, that their internal organs shift position as they grow and age. That's kinda cool, and I often wonder what it must be like in order to know how old someone is, based on where their spleen has migrated to! What gorgeous shots. I can't decide which one I like better, so I'll just go on and keep liking them both! Great colors and light and hey, more snails are definitely welcome!

I am very fond of snails (except in my vegetable patch). The composition of the left image is very satisfying with the echoing shapes, and the yellow one is extremely smart.

Wonderful snails and capture! :) One one the great things about snails is you don't have to worry about them taking off before you can get your shot. ;)
