I started playing around with Ken Childress's (kcc3.ucl) Carlson Orbit Traps again. I just love those pure Crayola colors! Then, via the UF Mailing List, Toby Marshall (tma.ucl) reminded me that I could find the same colors in his Plain Curve Traps II.
I am curious to know if anyone (besides me) has wanted all those wonderful color combinations in these two Colorings as Gradients to use with whatever Coloring one might choose. I do realize that Gradients are fluid, and often best created on-the-fly. I just find that if I have a starting point, no matter that the Gradient ends up looking entirely different in the end, that I can find the pleasing shapes much easier. The black and white Gradient just doesn't do it for me.
So has anyone translated the colors from the Colorings into Gradients? I'm doing it the old fashioned way - copy the color from the Coloring, paste it into the gradient, move on to the next point in the gradient.

Anyway, what started out as an experiment with color turned into a spiral that would look good in any 1960's headshop.
