Welcome to Mojo...apologies for missing to comment on your first image. Love the purple skies & green contrasts :) Take a look at custom render settings try rendering the same shot aty differing settings to see which gives the best results as each will look different :)

Yep - welcome aboard! Lighting of ships doesn't really gel with the planet lighting. If they are imported-meshes, allow Mojo to light them, if 'cut & paste', make sure to align the lighting with the pre-rendered scene.
