Description

Looking at the carving the Vikings adorned their ships with.. I couldn't resist doing some extra ZBrush work on the shields and plans for other areas normally covered on the ship railings/ While I wanted to have this finished by this weekend.. I want to spend more time on the texture UVs in Modo.... so I'm going to say the following Friday. Just enjoying this too much to leave it alone and I want to provide something really nice. The shield is actual polys, but decimated in ZBrush and Modo and is down to less then 10k per shield in poly count. I'm still getting accustomed to ZB but if this is what I can do for so little count... I'll be spending more time with it. I ropes, knots, ties, and pullies left to do as well as the gathered sail in Blender. Oars will be removable and posed. Spar and sails removed so one can use it as a wreck. The shield will be removeable as well as a 2nd shield type not so detailed for a more normal fighting ship rather then noble carrier. The big effort will be mapping the textures to follow the curve of the boards at both ends. Thanks for looking LOndon224
