Description

I photographed this caper flower at my son's house in Santa Tecla... it grew into a crack in the ground! Monday morning I will return to Santa Tecla to continue my "work" of Grandma... I will return to my house next weekend. I wish you all a wonderful week! :) Thank you all for looking and for previous comments and favourites! The caper (capperis spinosa) is a small evergreen shrub, native of the Mediterranean and Central and South Asia, very popular in Italy. It can reach one meter in height, and usually develops as groundcovers or hanging drywall or along cracks in the rock. He looks messy, much branched and dense, the leaves are rounded, leathery, dark green, waxy, flowers are large, decorative, white or pink, very showy, bloom in summer. In the kitchen using the immature flower buds and fruits, which are preserved in vinegar or salted; have intense flavour and spicy and is eaten alone or used in sauces or seasonings. Capers require very sunny to develop the best, love and Mediterranean plants are very hot summers, with temperatures well above 35-40°C, and mild winters, although they can withstand brief periods of frost is not too intense. Fantastic capture an motif, Maria. Such an incredibly beautiful flower. An amazing artwork from mother nature, when she is at her best. Very interesting information too. It even have the potential use for food or spice too. I think it is too beautiful to eat :) And yes i believe that the grandma job is hard work :)
