Description

Just after a heavy thunderstorm, I noticed this little guy on our deck, it seems like he just emerged from that sack beside him, it may have gotten blown onto our deck by the winds, he is very tiny.

I think, if anything connected to him, that thing next to him might be his first shed. They shed their skin like reptiles as they grow. The are very tiny when they crawl from their pods, usually 10 - 300 from one hard pod glued to a branch or piece of wood. Very good shot of what I know is a very tiny mantis. :-)
