I must say, I don't see the creature on the left as a dragon at all. I see it as a Pierson's Puppeteer, an utterly fascinating alien race described by science fiction author Larry Niven. In your image the creature seems so adorably affectionate that it would be a delight to have around. I get the impression from your title that both beings are mutual genetic cross-hybrids (hence the term "splice"). One thing is for sure; they are in a very strange place indeed and seem understandably bewildered. A very intriguing and imaginative piece, Monica.

There is so much to see in this and I love the hall of mirrors effect you've achieved. The color and overall "feel" of this image is striking and nicely gentle. That is always refreshing to me. I love your characters!
