Now this is most intriguing. It is most assuredly a sundial; no question about that. And a marvelous piece of APO prestidigitation to be sure. But not just an ordinary sundial surely. I am reminded of those sundials alchemists used to make that marked out timing intervals for adding ingredients to the potions they were concocting. That must be it; a magic sundial. Certainly it is a magic rendering. Super work, Corrie.
