Now I am re-examining it. It seems to jump out at me as being fake.. but maybe that's only because I am too critical. Anyway, you've renewed my hair confidence! Thank you :)

Excellent lighting. Fine job on the hair too, don't worry about that :) (I've found adding contrasting light/dark streaks before smudging it adds realism to it... if you use Photoshop for your postwork, then the burn/dodge tool is indespensible) :)
