Description

With so many public houses closing, finding a rural pub, that's so large, and still open.....well I find amazing. I had to pop in to ask directions, surprise, surprise, not one local from the village was in there. So no help was forthcoming. Needless to say, the person who's box was only addressed to a house name and a village didn't get their parcel on time. Found the property the following day hidden behind the church, and up a little lane not wide enough for my lorry. Hey ho.

I find it interesting that there is anyone inside since there's only one vehicle in sight, and that might even be yours, so how did the people get there?

This would be a great setting for a Hercule Poirot mystery! Considering you drive a lorry, I'm guessing that's 'not' your car. ;)

Lovely English (oops, dirty word!)Pubs like this closing all over the place, mainly IMO due to the the "nanny state" we call Great Britain! Our wonderful banks havn't helped either. Sites like this will be a thing of the past very soon I think.Yes, the apparent lack of life in this pic says it all, nice Photo though, if a tad melancholic!

Nice piece of architecture. Society has helped in the closing of many of these.
