My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Lovely shot Tara. Didn't get to visit here but did the castle bit on our visit to the USA.

Very pretty colors! Nice shot Tara!

How amazing is that! And what hard labour it must have been. This is so inviting, I want to get in there. Mind you, I always want toget into almost any flat sort of water, a bit like Buster. The colours are jewel-like. But..are those little flies I see?

I saw the same thing near Sedona and had the same thought. Something so sophisticated from such "uneducated" peoples. As I walked around the area, I felt as though some of those souls were still close. They are very powerful places.

Nice having all the hard work done for you lol, the farmers today there must be pleased... Nice capture!!

Fantastic composition. Wonderful green (algae?). In psychology the word Projection is defined as the tendency to see your own unacceptable actions and desires in other people. Perhaps that is why, for so long, we had so little access to the history of Native Americans. Perhaps we would have discovered that those we called savages were the civilized ones and we were the savages.

I like the contrast between the dry parched land and refreshing water! Great capture Tara!

Lovely image...looks cool and refreshing...need something like that today with our 100° temperature. My poor granddaughter went on an overnight camping trip with her summer camp group yesterday and the day before and half the kids were throwing up from the heat.

A beautiful shot with lots of pretty color, and a lesson in history for me since I'm not familiar with these trenches. I especially like the green plant in the bottom right corner.

What a beautifully cool and inviting spot; the colours and soft dappled light are wonderful! Beautiful shot!

Little irrigation canal leads the eye right through the image...making me wonder what's around the bend. Glad you got this shot...I flubbed this area of the well completely:) Niceeee.

Beautiful composition, and a refreshing view, Tara! Amazing that these ancient civilizations could create things that last for nearly 1000 years. Great one!

I love the jewel-like colors of the water and the fact that it's clean water (not like Lake Michigan, which is clean in that...um...gray grade sort of way: lots of particulate matter (fish poop) and stuff.) The colors really grab me and the bend in that irrigation trench reminds me of a bend in the Chicago River, up near where Corey lives...I'll have to look for that shot. Anyway, I love this! It's a marvelous, relaxing, inviting, and evocative shot!
