All Depends on the viewer... Aunt was trying to grow Bachlor Buttons in her flower bed... Where we were from in Washington they grew wild in fields and were considered weeds... But Agree they're Lovely flowers.. be they Weed or Flower. Excellent Shot!!

Looks kinda like wild Bergamot which is in Earl Grey tea giving it a distinctive flavor. Nice shot of these purple blooms and the yellow in the background helps bring out their color. They are very pretty whatever they are and I am sure the bees are happy! Hmmmm...wildflower honey... Mmmmmmm =)

This is purple loosestrife. It is a very dangerous and invasive plant. The damage caused in western canada by this noxious weed if in the billons of dollars. it can quickly overwhelm any and all natural flora, and has no natural threats to it since its not indiginous. The manitoba govt last year spent 25million dollars on irradication of this and the problem is many times worse this year than last year.

Yes I guess it's a lovely kind of Bergamot. Fantastic capture and bloom Richard. Would like to have them in our garden. Here in Europe, I've never seen this kind of.

We have similar flowers here called Purple Loosestrife - don't know if I spelled that right. And they are clogging all the ponds. They are beautiful, though!

Beautiful capture! :) If they are growing out of you kept grass they are weeds, anywhere else they are wild-flowers. :)
