Ensign Laini is about to have an encounter of the unfriendly kind... Well, this was going to be my entry into the Laini gallery contest sponsored by Sabby and .Seven. but didn't make it in before the deadline. (At least in part thanks to Delta turning a four hour trip into one lasting nine hours. Thank you oh so much.) Everybody else was doing fantasy subjects, so I thought I'd give the SciFi route a try.
