I am getting into a toon mode again. My experiment for the Enterprise toon version resulted in a pretty nice image and I thought I would revist my swordfish model.
There is a glitch that occurs when using Toon Pro in Carrara. Spline objects confuse Toon Pro with some of the vertices and the result is a whole bunch of extra lines that show up on surfaces where they shouldn't go. The fix is to simply convert the spline object into a vertex object and pow, all fixed.
This was the main reason that the first Toon pro posting of this model is done from the viewpoint where the tail is mostly hidden. Since I've figured out that little fix, I can render the model from any direction.
This model rendered using Toon Pro is very good. The reflections and shadows come out really nice and I'm very happy with the result.
This has inspired me to finish my model of the Bebop (the only ship I have left to model). It's been a few years since I worked on that beast and finishing it is a good idea.
So while this render is just a new view of the same thing I posted a long time ago, it's still cool and shows off the model better.
There aren't many Bebop fans out there but for those few of you, here ya go!
